The DisAbility Sports Festival Coachella Valley™ is a program of Desert Ability Center designed to showcase adaptive sports and recreational activities and disability focused services and resources in the Coachella Valley, the region and throughout the country. It also serves as a learning opportunity for students to gain an appreciation for the abilities of people with disabilities and career options they may not have considered.
This 1-day FREE event is available to participants of any age and with any level of ability. Local and out of area Paralympians, adaptive sports specialists and recreational rehabilitation coaches provide a wide array of opportunities to experience sport and recreation alongside your friends, family and community peers. Now in its 7th year, the DSF/CV is looking forward to you joining us. Bring your family. Bring a friend. You will be glad you did.
REGISTRATION IS FREE TO PARTICIPANTS – Early registration is STRONGLY encouraged and will be available online some time after October 6, 2018.
ACTIVITIES – The DisAbility Sports Festival Coachella Valley™ may include any of the following adaptive sports and recreational activities: Archery, Baseball, Basketball (wheelchair and stand-up), Judo (all abilities), Kayaking (all abilities), MMA/Boxing, Power Soccer (for power chair users), Movement/Motor Development, Quad Rugby, Recreational Sports, Rock Climbing (all abilities), Rowing, Sit Volleyball, Skateboarding, Soccer, Swimming, Track & Field (javelin/shot put), Tennis (wheelchair and stand up) and much, much more.
EXHIBITORS: The DSF/CV is also about connecting those who live with a disability to resources that meet their unique needs. Stop by the exhibitor area and meet local and out of area service providers.
